Raised-Relief Topographic Map

Kalisher commissioned these topographic maps of Ventura County and the Channel Islands.  A fitting design for the newly renovated Marriott Ventura Beach. The hotel is only blocks from the ocean and sits near Highway 101 on a 10-mile stretch of the sparkling Pacific coast between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. The topographic maps are comprised of multiple stacked layers mounted to a steel backplate.  The multiple aluminum layers were assembled and mounted with stainless steel standoffs.  The map names are comprised of custom cut metal letters, mounted with stainless steel standoffs.
