Raised-Relief Topographic Map
Courtyard by Marriott Santa Monica | Santa Monica, CA
The Los Angeles Basin is the inspiration for this metal raised-relief topographic map at the Courtyard by Marriott Santa Monica. The custom fabricated design is the centerpiece of the lobby’s welcome pedestal. The topographic map is comprised of ten stacked layers layers mounted to a steel backplate. The aluminum layers were assembled with stainless steel standoffs.
Product Fabrication: CNC laser cut steel and aluminum. Finished with with “Matte White” powder coating.
